Sway-A-Way Wheel Studs Bullet Nose
Sway-A-Way’s Volkswagen/Porsche Wheel Stud – 14mm x 1.5 available in many popular lengths. Featuring CNC machined bullet nose for quick nut installation. Sway-A-Way’s Wheel studs are high-quality studs manufactured out of heat-treated medium carbon alloy steel. All Sway-A-Way wheel studs are cold-headed and thread rolled for an entirely cold formed stud that meets or exceeds SAE Grade 8 bolt standards. Cold formed studs have an uninterrupted grain flow, meaning the grain lines of the steel are compacted to follow the geometry of the stud. This results in a strength advantage over machined studs. They are then heat treated and finished with a Black Zinc finish. Available in many popular lengths from 45 mm to 80 mm. CA Prop 65 Warning
These studs press into the drum or hub. Installation requires a hole drilled and reamed to .562” diameter. The area where the stud head sits should be spot faced to 13/16″ diameter so that the seat is flat and perpendicular to the stud.
