Fortin Can-Am Front Hub Kit
Fortin Racing used their 40 years of drivetrain experience to design their Can-Am X3 front brake hub kit. This is a complete redesign for the ultimate in strength and reliability of the hubs, upright, bearings, CV’s, axles and brakes. The design parameters were to build a brake hub and drivetrain system that would handle larger diameter tires, heavier vehicle weights, and increased loads experienced during competition endurance off-road racing events.
FEATURES:
Aerospace quality 7075 billet aluminum uprights
Large 4.3” tapered roller wheel bearings ..Much stronger than the stock units
Hubs are made from lightweight 6061-T6 billet aluminum for less sprung weight
Original 12mm 4-bolt wheel pattern
Larger 11” rotors for improved stopping power over stock units
4-piston radial mount calipers sized to match the stock master cylinder
Stock metric brake lines bolt directly to the Fortin calipers
Fortin developed their all new non-plunging high angle CV joint from a combination of 300m and aerospace alloys
High angle CV boots are attached to removable flanges
The CV’s are bolted to the inner and outer stub axles flanges eliminating the use of wire spring clips and making the assembly more serviceable.
NOTE: The upright requires new upper and lower control arms, utilizing spherical balls. The control arms must be made to Fortin dimensions to take full advantage of the steering and suspension geometry improvements.
