4 Pad Clutch Disc. Only for racing applications when intentional slippage would normally burn up an organic lining. 4 puck will grab better than organic to reduce slippage when hot. KEP 4 Pad is specially lightened to reduce the effect of inertia while shifting. Not recommended for street because of harsh engagement.  Solid center eliminates spring failure.

6 Pad Clutch Disc. Preferred in sandrail or pre-runner applications.  Excess surface area and inertia means more slippage than 4 pad, but a little easier on transaxles components. KEP 6 Pad is specially lightened to reduce the effect of inertia while shifting.

200mm Clutch Disc (8") are generally used in most VW Type 1 engines form 1600 class, class 10, 12, 5, and pre-runners using Mendeola or Fortin transaxles.

228mm Clutch Discs (9") are found in cars using larger Type 4 powerplants, and bigger heavier buggies with more horsepowrersuch as V6 or V8 powered race cars.

All KEP clutch discs feature race proven composition for extreme heat capacity. Spline hub is longer to transmit engine torque. Heat treated torque plate is lightened where possible. CA Prop 65 Warning
